The Dunedin City Council started formal consultation on its plan project from 9 years to 2025-34.
Dunedin Mayor Jules Radich said in a statement, the 9 -year project aimed to “find the right balance between investing [the] city and keep things affordable “.
“Among the various suggestions, respondents wanted to see improvements in infrastructure and roads, and there were calls to support small businesses and the city’s arts, culture and music sectors. Others wanted a lower rate increase.
“We all want the best for our city and the people who live here, which is why we are encouraging everyone to give their opinion and share what matters most to them,” he said.
The advice needed to continue investing in things such as renewing tubes and roads, updating playgrounds and taking care of public buildings, as well as installing extra pipes and bombs to protect against flooding South Dunedin as soon as possible, Radich said.
“This investment is costly and we are working hard to achieve the right balance and keep fees affordable while still fulfilling our responsibilities.”
The 9 -year -old consultation continues until the middle of April 30.
There will be a number of opportunities to learn more, including sessions involving counselors and employees, as well as extensive information on the Board website.
