2nd set of remains found at Manitoba landfill confirmed to be Marcedes Myran


Police have determined that a second group of remains, Marcedes Myran, was found in a landfill in the Winnipeg area, one of four Aboriginal women of the 2022 serial killer, the province said Monday.

Myran’s body is two sets Established In February, a green landfill in the grassland north of Winnipeg. Morgan Harris’ body was identified earlier this month.

Myran, 26, and Harris, 39, both are from the First Nation of the Long Plains, 95 kilometers west of Winnipeg. They are one of four Indigenous women murdered by serial killer Jeremy Skibicki in 2022.

Skibicki was convicted in July last year on four counts of first-degree murder in killing Myran, Harris, Rebecca Contois, and a woman who is still uncertain, named Mashkode Bizhiki’ikwe or Buffalo Woman by community leaders.
