Kyiv, Ukraine – The Russian drones hit a military hospital, a shopping center, apartment blocks and other buildings in Harciv at the end of Saturday, killing two people and injured 30 others, Ukrainian officials said.
Regional governor Oleh Sinihubov said a 67-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman had been killed in the attack on the second largest city of Ukraine.
The General Headquarters of Ukraine condemned the “intentional, directed firing” at the Military Hospital. The victims were “troops who were treated,” the statement said.
Ukrainian Air Force has announced that Russia has fired 111 exploding drones and lures in the last wave of attacks overnight on Sunday. It says that 65 of them were trapped and another 35 were lost, probably were clogged electronically.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense said its air defense systems are taking down six Ukrainian drones.
According to the Ukrainian government and military analysts, the Russian forces are preparing to launch a new military offensive in the coming weeks to increase the pressure on Ukraine and to strengthen the Kremlin’s negotiation in negotiations to end fire.
